Good Quality Pleases God - A message by Sri Sathya Sai Baba

“It does not matter if you are not highly educated. What is most important is that you should have virtues. What is the use of ten acres of land which is barren? Even ten metres of land is enough if it is fertile. Similarly, it is enough if you have one good quality. What is that good quality? The quality that pleases God is good quality. If God is pleased, the entire world will be pleased with you. People will extol you as the embodiment of God and repository of godly qualities. If you obey the command of God, chant His name incessantly, help everyone with noble feelings, people will consider you equal to God. Therefore, take to the path of sacrifice. Sacrifice is verily God.”

What Spirituality is?

We have always a confusion about spirituality that what Spirituality really mean?

If we ask others about our confusion then the meaning would be given as going to temples, participate in prayer meetings, participation in devotional singings,  or participating in some type of social service with charitable organizations. But no one can say exactly what the Spirituality is?

A few years back, when I attended a talk on Indian Culture and Spirituality by a brother from Sri Sathya Sai Organization, I gained something with which I think I can I describe a part of Spirituality.

Sri Sathya Sai Baba describes the Spirituality in very simple words:

Short Story - The Unique Guru Bhakti Of Ekalavya

One day, the Kaurava and Pandava boys were playing, near a well. Dronacharya happened to pass that way along with his wife and son, Aswatthama. Observing that the young boys were going round and round the well making a big noise, Dronacharya went near them.

He enquired, “My dear boys, what are you searching for?”

The boys said that they were actually playing with a ball and it had fallen into the well. Then, Dronacharya took out an arrow from his quiver and shot it into the well. It went straight and stuck to the ball.

No One Can Hurt Us

No one can hurt you without your consent

On the first day, as President Abraham Lincoln entered to give his inaugural address, just in the middle, one man stood up. He was a rich aristocrat. He said, "Mr. Lincoln, you should not forget that your father used to make shoes for my family." And the whole Senate laughed; they thought they had made a fool of Abraham Lincoln.

Power of Love (Poem)

By what power of love the earth rotates without an axle,
By what power of love the stars remain in the sky without falling on the ground,
By what power of love the oceans confine to their limits

Messages by Sri Sathya Sai Baba

Strive for the happiness of the community and of the human race. Pray that all men everywhere may have peace and plenty. Be eager to do good and be good…Moderation in food, moderation in talk, and in desires and pursuits; contentment with what little can be got by honest labour, eagerness to serve others and to impart joy to all these are the most powerful of all the tonics and health-preserves known to the science of health, the Sanathana Ayur Veda, the Veda of the full life.
